Dr. Ferdous Ahmed Barbhuiya
Assistant Professor, IIIT Guwahati

Dr. Ferdous Ahmed Barbhuiya is an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati (IIITG). With a substantial experience in software product industry, he is now translating his industry experience into broader avenues of Academics and Research. Dr. Barbhuiya has obtained his PhD as well as MTech degree from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati and BE degree from Jorhat Engineering College under Dibrugarh University, all in Computer Science and Engineering. He has led product development for companies ans startups like GlobalLogic, Mobio, ClearStandards, Rocketalk etc. He is a member IEEE and ACM. His research interests include Biometrics, Computer Vision, Cloud Computing, Software Defined Network, Network Function Virtualisation, Computer and Network Security etc.

Dr. Nilkanta Sahu
Assistant Professor, IIIT Guwahati

Dr. Nilkanta Sahu received the Ph. D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. He has received his M. Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT Rourkela and and B. Tech. degree in Information Technology from, Jalpaiguri Govt. Engineering College, West Bengal. He joined Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati, as an Assistant Professor in 2016. His research interests include video watermarking, Information hiding and multimedia security.

Dr. Ajita Rattani
Adjunct Graduate Faculty, University of Missouri - Kansas City

Dr. Ajita Rattani is an Adjunct Graduate Faculty at University of Missouri - Kansas City. Prior to this, she was a Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Michigan State University, USA. Her research interest include Pattern Recognition, Classifier Fusion, Machine Learning, Image Processing, Computer Vision, Supervised/ Semi-supervised Learning and Biometrics. Ajita has bagged more than 30 research papers in international conferences and journals. She is the co-editor of the book titled “Adaptive Biometric Systems: Recent Advances and Challenges” and recipient of the Best Poster and Best Paper awards at IJCB 2014 and Biometric Summer School 2008. Further, she has collaborated with eminent scientists in her field of research. Ajita has received PhD degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Cagliari, Italy (2010). She has spent one year in University of Sassari, Italy (2006-2007) and six months in West Virginia University, USA (2009) as a visiting researcher.

Dr. Arijit Sur
Associate Professor, IIT Guwahati

Dr. Arijit Sur received his Ph. D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. He has received his M. SC. in Computer and Information Science and M. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering both from Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Calcutta. He is currently working as an Associate Professor at Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. He is a recipient of Infosys Scholarship during his Ph. D. tenure at IIT Kharagpur. He got Microsoft Outstanding Young Faculty Program Award at Dept. of CSE, IIT Guwahati. His current research interest is Multimedia Security such as Image and Video Watermarking, Steganography & Steganalysis and Reversible Data Hiding.

Seema Nagar
IBM Advisory Software Engineer (Research)

Seema Nagar has been working in IBM Research India since 2007. Her primary areas of interest are social network analysis, mobile computing and graph theory. She has several publications in many reputed conferences and journals, as well as a large volume of patents. She has earned several Research Awards in IBM, including an Outstanding Technical Achievement Award for the practical impact made by her work on social network analysis. She has also been the technical mentor of several aspiring researchers that have been a part of IBM Research India at various stages of their careers.

Kuntal Dey
IBM Senior Software Engineer (Research), IBM Master Inventor

Kuntal Dey has been working in IBM Research India since 2007. His primary areas of interest are natural language processing, artificial intelligence, social network/media analysis and mobile computing. He has several publications in many reputed conferences and journals. In addition, his significant volume and quality of patents has earned him the title of IBM Master Inventor. He has also been actively engaging with and guiding students at undergraduate and graduate levels back since 2003, as well as involving in part-time teaching in several universities as a Visiting Faculty.

Karan Ahuja

Karan Ahuja is an undergraduate researcher, cognitive enthusiast and a borderline linguist. Pursuing his interest in Computer Science has over the years enabled me to develop keen analytical and reasoning skills with a particular interest in Computer Vision, Perceptual Computing and Pattern Recognition. His core strength is in blue-sky thinking, producing novel ideas backed with the ability to bridge the gap between innovation and implementation.

Rahul Islam is an undergraduate student at the Dept. of Computer Science, IIIT Guwahati. He works in the area of Human Computer Interaction, where his main focus is to reduce the friction between man and machine by exploiting techniques from cognitive science, affective computing and computer vision.

Abhishek Bose is an undergraduate student at the ECE department of IIIT Guwahati. He has a keen interest in the field of embedded electronics, computer vision and robotics along with his pursuits of gaining knowledge in the field of computer science. His endeavour is in developing a strong technical background which will help him in carrying out his research.
