I did my PhD from National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan (R.O.C.) in 2015 followed by Postdoctoral research fellow in AMS-VLSI State Key Laboratory, University of Macau, Macau (SAR) China. My PhD study as well as Postdoctoal research works involve in Biomedical Signal Processing, Emotion Recognition, and Speech Signal Processing. I have been working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati (IIITG) since August 2016. My research focuses on the understanding of human emotions based on gestures, speech and physiologial signals including design & developement of products in concerned areas.

Research Interests:

I work in the domain of affective computing, biomedical signal processing and IoT. In affective computing, human emotion recognition and analysis are being performed based on physiological signal, facial expression, gesture and speech. The state-of-the-art analysis methods of signal processing, non-invasive brain simulation techniques, advanced computer vision technologies, machine learning/ deep learning are used in computer as well as in mobile platform. In addition, several product design (prototype level) concerned with human emotion, biomedical and IoT are also being developed. Besides, several technical challenges in fundamental signal processing such as time complexity issues of the time-frequency analysis (TFA) methods for long-time physiological data processing, the application of TFA in real-time and big-data processing etc. are also my research areas.
