The department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) was established in the year 2013 along with the inception of IIIT Guwahati. The CSE department creates an ambient academic atmosphere for its students and staff members in order to grow and excel in various spheres. The department strives to offer the state-of-the art knowledge among its students through its well curated course curriculum across various domains of computer science. The CSE department currently offers both the undergraduate and post-graduate programmes in Computer Science and Engineering along with PhD.

About

The programme is designed to create innovators and researchers. Students are given a strong foundation in CSE that includes electronics and hardware. The B.Tech. (CSE) program at IIIT-Guwahati starts with computing oriented courses first, and allows the possibility of doing science courses later.
