HoD, Department of ECE

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) started its journey along with the commencement of the institute, in the year 2013. The objective of the department has been to impart state-of-the-art technologies to the student so that they can compete with the best, both academically and professionally.

Latest design tools in various areas of the subject, as in circuit design, signal processing, control systems, embedded systems and microwave engineering are present in the department which equip the students with proper knowledge base and conceptual clarity to help them handle harder, more challenging problems.

The department started its PhD programme in the year 2015. In 2018, the M.Tech programme of the department started with specialization in Communication and Signal Processing.

The department has six major laboratories which handle most of the Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses. Three other research laboratories are also there which are under sponsored projects.

Associate Professor

About

The programme is designed to create innovators and researchers. ECE courses like electronics, signals & systems, communications, VLSI, and embedded systems are introduced in the early semesters. The main objectives of the B.Tech.(ECE) program are to produce students who are well prepared for Indian industry with necessary core competency to succeed long-term in engineering/entrepreneurship careers (Post B.Tech.), and who are well prepared to undertake PG studies and research careers.

Mission of the Department

  • Analysis and problem solving capability of at least four of the following main subdivisions of electronics and communication engineering, namely Semiconductor Devices, Analog Circuits, Digital logic and design, Signal Processing, Communication, Control System.
  • Familiarization with state-of-the-art industry oriented tools, softwares and components.
  • To develop ethical values of an engineer, leadership principles and team work worthy of an electronics and communication engineer.
