Welcome to my homepage. I am Assistant Professor in English at Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati. I was born and raised in Kolkata, West Bengal where I read English at Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur and at the University of Calcutta. I have an MPhil from the University of Hyderabad and a PhD from the English and Foreign languages University Hyderabad. I began my teaching career in 2013 with an appointment in the English Department of Central University of Karnataka. I am interested in research related to the British Empire in India. Currently, I am working on a project on India and the First World War.
