• No difference between the Online and the On-Campus M.Tech programme except for the mode of instruction.

IIIT Guwahati welcomes prospective students for admission into the M.Tech CSE Online programme. The students will attend classes in "online mode" from anywhere. This is open for both working IT professionals and non-working candidates. Please go to "Eligibility" (see above).

1. There is no difference between Online and On-Campus M.Tech programme except for the mode of instruction.
2. The programme is designed for the students with different academic backgrounds with elective options to supplement core CS courses.
3. Online students can take courses in a phased manner as per their availability. The student in an online programme can opt for a pay-as-you-learn mode, i.e., the fees for the student will depend on the number of credits taken.
4. The syllabi are designed focusing on the recent industry demands such as AI, ML, Blockchain, Data Analytics, and others.
5. Use of Learning Management System to conduct online classes, archiving lectures, assignments, online discussions, etc. Lectures will be streamed live according to a Time Table. Those unable to attend the live stream can view the lecture later from an archive.
6. Special tutorial sessions for every course on weekends. This will enable those who are unable to attend a number of lectures to clear their doubts.
7. Lab sessions and assignments will be the same as for On-Campus students.
8. Examinations will be conducted online via proctored mode.
9. M.Tech project will be carried out online under the supervision of a guide from IIIT Guwahati. A co-supervisor (in case of working professionals) from the organization the student is working at, will be encouraged.
10. Complete placement assistance and guidance related to higher studies for interested candidates.
